About Us

We, the Antisexist Support Jena (ASJ), emerged from the process plenum, a network on the problem of sexual/sexualized violence that was founded in response to the outcalls in August 2020 within the left-wing scene of Thuringia.
The goal was to search for long-term and solidarity-based ways of dealing with those exposures in the left-wing scene. This resulted in various needs. As part of this structure, we founded ourselves as a support working group. The result of this project is the ASJ, whose goal is to support and accompany people affected by sexualized violence and their solidarity-based environments, if desired.

We are a endo cis mixed-gender group and see, hear and know that sexism, queer*misia and sexual violence also exist in left-wing, queer and/or feminist bubbles.

That facts we want to oppose something as a cross-scene support structure. Our offer is aimed at all people who are affected by sexual and/or gender violence. Our offer of support is aimed at all people affected by such violence, especially those whose gender or sexuality is marginalized. This includes all persons affected by sexism, trans*misia, inter*misia, enbymisia or queer*misia.

If you are unsure whether you have come to the right place and whether what happened to you is sexual violence, please contact us. If you know people in your environment (surroundings), in your political structure or in your group, who need support, please refer them to us or establish contact – agreed with them! – contact us.
If you give support for one or more affected people, you are welcome to contact us in consultation with the relevant person(s). Our attitude can be described as partial to those affected.

The concept of power of definition is central to us, but we do not derive any responsibility for action from it. You will find this more precisely formulated here, in our self-image, as an attitude. Our support offer is not professionalized. Nevertheless, we set standards for our work. Courses of action in support processes should be transparent. There is always space for criticism and complaints in the accompanying processes. In addition to our group there is also an external contact option: the Antisexist Support Erfurt (ASE).
